Why Calda Systems

Here at Calda we have built up strong and lasting relationships with our suppliers around the UK. This allows us to ensure the quality of our components are kept high and that we can keep stock arriving regularly.

Manifolds

Our manifolds are made of stainless steel and can accommodate from 2 to 12 heating circuits. The flow rate can be continuously adjusted via a regulating shut off valve. They come with a 2-year Calda guarantee.

Pumps

We supply Wilo pumps with our underfloor heating packages. Wilo are a well-known German producer of pumps. They are tried and tested within underfloor heating systems and deliver consistent results year after year. You can check these products out directly on Wilo’s website: https://wilo.com/gb/en/

Pipe

We supply 2 varieties of underfloor heating pipe. PE-RT and PE-RT AL. Both varieties are compatible with all our systems.

PE-RT is a 5 layer EVOH pipe which is strong and flexible. We recommend using PE-RT pipe with our overlay systems.

PERT-AL is a 5 layer underfloor pipe incorporating an aluminium core. This core helps the pipework stay in shape and provides an element of strength to the pipe. We would recommend this pipe in screeded for build ups.

Overlay Panels

We pride ourselves on being an underfloor heating overlay specialist. Our signature system is Calda Pro. This is a highly versatile system that can be used in most retrofitting and new build projects. It consists of 20MM cement coated XPS panels which incorporates underfloor heating pipework. Tiles and engineered wooden flooring can be applied directly on top. Carpets can be placed on top with a separating layer of 6MM ply or a 5MM layer of self-levelling compound.

Calda Pro is different from competing systems as is uses a 16MM pipe rather than the usual 12MM found in competitor systems. This enables Calda Pro to produce a higher heat output, which makes is more suitable for retro-fit projects in Victorian and older properties.
